After two glorious years the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies (HCAS) the time has come to welcome the next chapter in my professional path: I am thrilled to join Lund University in October as (permanent) Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor in Human Rights Studies!
In many ways this position feels like the one for which I have been specialising my entire academic path: Lund is one of few places in the world that takes a genuinely interdisciplinary approach to human rights. I am excited for this opportunity to ‘sing with my full instrument’ as it were, and continue my research and teaching on the past, present and future of human rights.
This will, once again, also be a new phase for my family: the plan is that I will commute – even if that in the current pandemic feels like a utopian dream from an entirely different era…
Let’s thus see how things unfold! Like for most university staff things will start remotely, and then advance one step at a time.
Still this is an undoubted moment of celebration!
